Marcelo Matos has a BSc. in Architecture from the Federal University of Rio De Janeiro. He has held several administrative positions in the city of Rio de Janeiro. As the city´s Environmental Superintendent and President of Rio´s Foundation for Parks and Gardens, he has proposed and managed multiple projects that helped reshape Rio´s environmental and leisure infrastructure. As Regional Alderman for the districts of Tijuca and Vila Isabel, Marcelo coordinated public policies concerning employment, education and culture.
