Hi Pedro,

Currently, Flyar is designed for 32-bit Windows operating systems, including Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7. 64-bit OSes are currently not supported. A graphics card compatible with DirectX 9.0 is also required.

Thanks for trying it out nonetheless and we appreciate the feedback.
BR,
Maria Palma

Hmm, Ivo beat me to the report. I confirm that the app doesn't seem to work on Win 7 x64. Though with me the error is different, it says that the application is invalid (tried compatibility mode with no success). Also tried redownloading but the same error appears. Can’t even install the app. Will be waiting for a new release.

Hi,

where can I find more info about the current capabilities of the YVision technology used in Flyar? I read through your website, but still would like to understand better the current potential of using a webcam for user motion tracking. it would appear at first glance that you have found a way to deliver, via standard webcam, what MS Project Natal and Softkinetic are trying to do with infrared depth perception cameras. I know they are looking at 3D motion detection, but 2D is s big step. have you got any white papers?

thanks,

It's not working on windows 7 64 bits. I'm having a file not found exception on the setup (It's trying to find a file in the system32 directory of windows, the yvision platform I think, although that file was correctly installed in the global assembly cache...)
